Winter

Winter is much more gentle on the coast than it is inland, and San Sebastian oozes tradition throughout the season. Traditional celebrations such as the Feast of Saint Thomas, the Olentzero (Basque Santa Claus) and San Sebastian Day bring colour to the wintry city. And to shelter from the winter cold, you can head for the famous cider houses for a meal of bone-in ribeye steak washed down with cider.
