The Arditurri mines worked almost non-stop for 2000 years. In the Iron Age and then during the Roman occupation, they were a considerable source of iron, lead, silver and fluorite. Nowadays, they are an amazing space in the heart of the Aiako Harria Natural Park in Oiartzun and you can visit part of the mining galleries through an amazing 800 meters route below sea leavel.

If you’d like to enjoy a bike ride o a hike from the Arditurri mine, a green path runs for 14 kilometres beneath the Aiako Harria massif, following the old train tracks to Oiartzun. There you can link up to another cycle path to the port of Pasaia an then to San Sebastian.
